Technology Found in the Nike Lunartrainer+

There are different technology used in the creation of the Lunartrainer+ by Nike. All of these have a unique use and makes the shoe as awesome as it is. I will explain each technology and the different benefits that it gives the shoe, which in turn helps the runner.

Flywire

A Look At The Flywire Technology Found in the Nike Lunartrainer+

Flywire is a technology that Nike uses to allow the Lunar Trainer to give ultra-lightweight support to your foot, as well as comfort. The strength of Flywire is due to thin Nylon fibers that have been placed strategically on the upper of the shoe. This placement will allow your foot to be held in place by the shoe, while at the same time diminishing slippage that can occur while running or doing other activities. This is part of the reason why the shoe is so light, as Flywire is only used in the shoe where it is needed to have structure.

LunarLite

A Look At The LunarLiteTechnology Found in the Nike Lunartrainer+

These trainers are created using LunarLite foam. This particular foam is 30% lighter than standard Phylon and it also gives the shoe nice springy cushioning as well as making it extremely lightweight. LunarLite is enclosed in a Phylite or Phylon midsole. The LunarLite foam compound was developed my Nike and it gives the shoe cushioning that makes really soft, but not to the point where it is mushy. While running, this foam will allow the impact force to be distributed evenly and this will in-turn reduce painful pressure points that can occur on the foot.

A Look At The Nike+ Found in the Nike Lunartrainer+

Nike+ is an innovative technology that is used by athletes who run, listen to music and want to measure various workout information. There is a specific sensor that is placed in the Nike Lunartrainer+ shoe, right under the sockliner of the left shoe. This sensor is able to provide a wide range of information such as the calories burned, distance, time elapsed and pace. This information is then sent wirelessly to your iPod (which will have a receiver) or Bike+ SportBand. The information is sent in real time, so you will be able to see and hear, while you are listening to your music.
